本片獲第72屆奧斯卡最佳男配角和改編劇本獎，并獲最佳影片、導演、藝術指導、剪輯和配樂提名。年輕的時候總覺得外面的世界更大，更寬廣，更有一番作為。闖蕩之后才發現能使自己發光的就是那看似平凡的事業。只要是有益于他人的事業都是不平凡的。不喜歡影片中的墮胎情節，畢竟那種倫理案例太罕見了。
